Newcastle have confirmed they are pursuing
alleged racist chants against their players following their pre-season
friendly with Den Haag.
The Magpies' goalless draw with the Eredivisie side was marred by
allegations of racist chanting aimed at some of their players during the
game at the Kyocera Stadium.The game in the Netherlands was part of Alan Pardew's pre-season plans as the new season draws ever closer.
A Newcastle spokesman confirmed in a statement they will be addressing the issue with the Eredivisie outfit but will be doing so privately.
It read: "In relation to alleged racist chants reported during Newcastle United's friendly against Den Haag today, the club will be raising the matter with officials at Den Haag and the issue will be dealt with privately."
